Do you fantasize about an out-of-this-world vacation? It’s good news.

The first-ever luxurious space hotel is in the process, according to plans.

The Voyager Station will be built by Orbital Assembly Corporation (OAC), a space architecture firm founded by NASA veterans, in 2026.

According to CNN Travel, the hotel is scheduled to open to the public in 2027.

“We’re trying to make the public realize that this golden age of space travel is just around the corner. It’s coming. It’s coming fast,” John Blincow, the company’s CEO, told the media source.

According to Travel + Leisure, Voyager Station will have a restaurant, lounge, and gym that will fit up to 280 persons.

The food on offer will stay true to the planet’s magnificent location. According to Architectural Digest, freeze-dried ice cream would be a staple dish at the space hotel.

The ring-shaped hotel would have artificial gravity to keep guests from floating free. According to Interesting Engineering, the Voyager Station will spin like a Ferris wheel and use centrifugal force — the visible external force on a mass as rotated — to mimic moon-like degrees of gravity.

Even then, visitors should hope to feel lighter than they will on Earth. Recreational events, such as basketball games where visitors can jump up to six times their standard height, are expected, according to Architectural Digest.

The Washington Post announced that tourists who want to visit the hotel would have to go through some preparation. This is due to the fact that visitors will have to fly there on the SpaceX Starship shuttle.

Reservations are currently being taken at Voyager Station. According to Travel + Leisure, a three-day stay would cost $5 million.

Over time, the corporation expects that prices will become more fair. The team told CNN Travel that it would potentially cost the same as “a trip on a cruise or a trip to Disneyland,”
